Recent reports on the progress of the Australian debate about industrial democracy claim that there already exists a consensus on the desirability of democracy among normally opposed industrial and political groups. Since desirability is no longer an issue, the practical problems of implementation may now be considered. However, Edward Vaughn argues that these reports from Australia are misleading.
