A system is described whereby human lymphocyte suspensions can be isolated from defibrinated blood so that they retain more than 85 per cent viability consistently for 14 days. Such lymphocytes are fully reactive in the lymphocytotoxicity test for HL‐A antigens and can be shipped through the mail
