Recent studies and trends in neuropsychological, neuroanatomical, and genetic and biochemical research are reviewed and related to possible biological bases of hyperkinetic disorders (defined by ICD-9-CM criteria and traditions) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (defined by DSM-IV criteria and traditions).
