摘要:

SUMMARYA case of diaphragmatic hernia complicating the puerperium, and which was misdiagnosed as pleural effusion, has been reported. The danger of confusing one for the other has been highlighted and the importance of early surgical repair of all paraoesophageal hernias, irrespective of their size, has been stressed.
