ABSTRACTThe eyes from four cats with GM1‐gangliosidosis with visceral involvement were examined by ophthalmoscopy, slit‐lamp, light and electron microscopy. The clinical signs of corneal opacity and small pale grey spots on the retina were found to correlate with polysaccharide storage in the endothelial cells and fibroblasts of the cornea, and glycolipid storage in the retinal ganglion cells.
