摘要:
Seasonal eating pattern comparisons of 104 independent living persons with mean age of 68.3 years were investigated during winter and summer seasons. Questionnaires and checklists of personal data, eating habits and food patterns were used as data collection instruments. The dietary intakes of an independent living elderly population during two seasons were not adequate in the number of servings per day from all four food groups in the Daily Food Guide. An improvement was seen in the summer survey for the Fruits and Vegetables Group. The dietary intakes of couples were found to be adequate, but were lower for single women and single men living alone. Factors of season and sex were found to significantly affect the diets of these subjects, while other factors did not.
