Recent research on antisocial syndromes provides some innovative epidemiological studies.Special efforts have dealt with the identification of biological markers and risk factors for recurrent delinquency; these have benefitted from progress in technology, namely in biochemistry, psychophysiology and brain imaging. On the whole, the issue of risk, prognosis and prophylaxis has been a major theme, particularly because a promising therapeutic strategy is still far away.
