In this paper an attempt has been made to develop a method for the allocation of system reliability to system components. The method is adapted to the systems in mechanical engineering. It takes into account changes in environmental conditions, changes in work processes and also some previously developed methods. The method has been developed by introducing the proportionality coefficient, failure rate of the ‘weakest’ system component, and the significance degree of the system component Et.
