The psychotherapy of sexual deviation and perversion is recognized as a difficult area with theoretical, clinical, legal and controversial complexities.As a result, most of the current treatment references are, not surprisingly, psychoanalytical. As there is such an overlap with external parameters, broader subsections have been included in this review that cover a spectrum of psychopathology, cultural and international differences, politics and homosexuality.
