The intraatrial baffle used in physiological repair of transposition of the great arteries can fibrose and alter its shape, producing venous obstruction, so that refashioning may become necessary as a secondary procedure. Reopcration under these circumstances is difficult, and can be made easier by using a simple perfusion technique requiring a minimum of dissection for cannulation.
