摘要:
Varicella (chickenpox) is usually a benign, self-limiting illness, but serious complications and deaths do occur even in previously healthy children. The use of acyclovir in the treatment of varicella, and the recent introduction of a live attenuated vaccine for its prevention, have both generated considerable debate. Recent developments are reviewed in this article.
