This article summarizes main results obtained by the author and his colleagues through recent studies of solar disturbance plasma outputs. The discussions involve the basic characteristics of corotating and transient disturbances and their solar cycle variations. We present evidences for quasi‐steady structure of corotating disturbances, and stress the idea about magnetic expansion of magnetic cloud as the basic character of strong transient disturbance. Finally, the morphology of geomagnetic storm are discussed in response to interplanetary structures.
