SUMMARYGrowth responses ofAlternariasp.,Cladosporium herbarum, Dendryphiella salina, Monodictys pelagica, Stachybotrys atraandZalerion maritimumto temperature,pH, light and dark were studied. Temperature optimum range was generally from 20–30 C; a slightly acid medium enhanced growth; with the exception ofM. pelagica, which grew better in light andS. atrawhich grew better in the dark, there was little difference between the growth of the fungi in light and in dark.
