SUMMARYThe genusEichleriellais defined to include those tremellaceous species forming a basidiocarp with an abrupt to reflexed margin, a smooth hymenium or with fertile pegs or spines, a basal layer of thick-walled, brownish hyphae, and a vinaceous tint upon drying. The species ofEichleriellaknown from the USSR are described and illustrated.Eichleriella alliciens, which is defined to includeE. incarnata, is shown to occur in the Far Eastern Region (i.e., Khabarovskiy Kray and Primorskiy Kray). Several collections ofE. leucophaea, which is redefined to includeE. schrenkii, are described from Tadzhikistan and Turkmenistan (i.e., Tadshikskaya S.S.R. and Turkmen S.S.R.).Eichleriella deglubens, which is tentatively included in the genus, is evidently widely distributed throughout the USSR. The species ofEichleriellain the USSR are known to occur only on decaying angiosperm wood.
