In this paper an algorithm has been developed for the optimal cóntrol of time-delay systems for the quadratic cost functional through the dynamic programming approach. The delays can occur both in the state as well as in the control. Discrete dynamic programming has been applied to the sampled version of the system equation, leading to the algorithm, which has, then, been extended to cover the multiple delays case.
