摘要:
The stability of the values obtained in 1959 by Cox and Leaper in their Australian adaptation of the General and Test Anxiety Scales for children was examined. In view of the liberalized evaluative climate in the schools over the past two decades a decrease in test anxiety levels for both sexes over all grades was predicted. An attempt was also made to obtain values on both scales for those grades not included in the original normative sample. The results indicated that there was no decrease in test anxiety levels except in the case of third grade boys, but appeared to cast some doubt upon the construct and content validity of both scales. The implication of these results and suggestions for further research were discussed.
