摘要:
The effect of high magnetic fields upon the heating rate of CO2‐laser‐produced plasmas has been calculated. It is found that the inhibition of thermal losses in the presence of high magnetic fields should substantially enhance the effectiveness of the CO2laser as a means of creating hot plasmas. Electron and ion temperatures are computed for plasmas produced with 1010‐W CO2lasers.
