Abstract:Patients with hyperlipoproteinemia have elevated serum vitamin E levels. Seven patients with hypercholesterolemia and eight other patients with hypertriglyceridemia achieved lowering of serum lipids when treated with clofibrate and SU‐13437, a chemically similar drug. Serum vitamin E levels decreased with the hypolipidemic therapy and returned upward when therapy was discontinued.
