Although the majority of patients who develop dumping syndrome after partial gastrectomy can be treated successfully by medical means, some inevitably require a second operation. In the case presented, as in others, interposing a segment of jejunum in theantirather thanisoperistaltic relationship was highly effective in delaying the emptying of the gastric remnant and restoring its reservoir function.
