摘要:

This review is devoted to two anniversaries that of the invention of the Geiger-Mueller counter sixty years ago and that of the development of the scintillation counter forty years ago. Besides the history described the importance at the present time is emphasized. The advances made in further improvements of these detectors arc considered.
