In this paper we study the ways in whichAlice in Wonderlandsimultaneously reaffirms and transgresses the Utopian structure through the consideration of the three basic productive modes of Utopia: the games, the language, and the dream which are essential to the Utopian generic structure as a whole.Alice, we claim, constitutes an insecure form on the very limits of the literary production, and as such, it hovers between sense and nonsense, repetition and difference.
