摘要:

Food choices, food supple and shopping practices of 104 independent-living elderly with mean age of 68.3 years were investigated during winter and summer seasons. Questionnaires, checklists of personal data, and food selection practices were used as data collection instruments. When the frequency checklists were compared to the recommended serving per day of the Daily Food Guide, an adequate supply of foods was stored in the households of this population. No significant differences were noted for the percentages of meals eaten with companions, location of meals consumed, frequency of snacks and meals consumed per day, and meal choices during two seasons. However, significant differences were noted in terms of the reasons for snacking, the frequency of snacks eaten, and number of meals consumed away from home.
