摘要:
A review of 20 case histories of patients with hepatic artery infusion of 5-fluorouracil at UCLA led the authors to the conclusion that catheter life and patency are directly related to the patient's mastery of necessary skills for equipment maintenance and to the availability of a skilled nursing staff. The program and its objectives as it is conducted on an inpatient and outpatient level can be improved. However, since the average number of “one-to-one” teaching hours per patient was 16 hours or more, recommendations are presented based on analysis of the data required.
