摘要:
The author speaks of insights for moving found in her practice of Zen: the disquiet one may perceive in performing the movement patterns of other cultures; the Japanese aesthetic as experienced in the Zen sesshin; the discovery of pushing past pain; the clarification found in her kensho (satori) experience for her ongoing investigation of the hypothesis that sport, dance, and exercise are contemplative forms. Although the accounts are highly individual, the author endeavors to place them within the wider realm of the experience of moving.
