WE have great pleasure in presenting the following Returns to our readers, and in expressing our obligation t o those gentlemen who have, at considerable trouble to themselves, enabled us to make them so complete. We feel that speaial aoknowledgment is due to some gentlemen, who, not being members of the Society, have never- therless favoured us with their reports.Analysts, as a rule, know very little if anything of the proseoutions, and it is better that they should not. The results were laid before the Meeting of the Society on the 14th inst, and considerable interest was taken in them.
