As older patients continue to need non-cardiac surgical procedures, we as anesthesiologists will continue to provide care for the patient with coronary artery disease. This review focuses on the patient with ischemic disease undergoing non-cardiac surgery. Particular emphasis is given to advances in drug therapy for this population.
