A case of hydatidiform mole with coexistent living fetus is presented and the steps by which the diagnosis was reached are given prominence. The diagnosisin uteroof an intact hydatidiform mole with associated fetus is extremely difficult, and the author thinks that the most useful diagnostic means for this rare situation is amniography.
