It has been established in 20 patients suffering from neurodermatitis that their thermoregulation reveals abnormal reactions when determinations were made by the Pickering test. The abnormality showed itself in a drop of skin temperature – so called paradox reaction when a rise through heating was expected. This changed reaction, however, was not of a permanent nature and showed fluctuations suggestive of a functional thermo regulatory defec
