摘要:
The Diodewand is a new device designed for tangent screen visual field testing. It represents a further evolutionary step from the Lumiwand, the first self-luminous testing wand. The Diodewand is self-luminous and also flickers with a rate that is variable. In preliminary tests on several normal patients, the Diodewand enabled the measurement of larger and more reliable fields than the standard matte target. The Diodewand produced larger and slightly more reliable fields than the Lumiwand. Normal and low vision patients preferred the Diodewand to both of the other instruments with regard to the ease with which it allowed them to make judgments of “just appeared” or “just disappeared.”
