For each young person, the impact of cataclysmic life events is a unique blend of the event itself, the characteristics of the individual sufferer, family and cultural dynamics, service delivery and the social attitudes in which they are all set.These factors are examined in relation to models of childhood mourning and post-traumatic stress disorder.
