Initial diagnosis of one subject in an experimental series showed that this observer could not discriminate large disparities (greater than 1/2°). Nevertheless, the subject was still retained in the series of experiments in order to determine the effects of extensive practice upon the performance in the diagnostic test. Following more than one thousand trials without feedback, the subject's performance improved from stereoblindness to stereoanomaly.
