An autopsy case of characterltic and severe enteritis with remarkable hypoproteinemla and extensive ulceration having numerous cytomegalic inclusion cells In the mucosal and submucosal capillary endothelia was reported.The pathological findings of this case proved the previous author's opinion that the ulcerative lesions in the digestive tract of the cytomegalic inclusion disease were caused by the cytomegalovirus and the systemic cytomegaloviral infection in the body occurred from the ulcerative lesions.The author advocates that this case be termed as “primary cytomegalic inclusion enteritis”, because this case has no serious basic diseases or pathologically severe extensive lesions in the small intestinal tract, and has received no immunosuppressive treatm
