Multiple Uterine Leiomyomas Developed in the Presence of a High Androgen Environment Secondary to Adrenogenital Syndrome

摘要:

A virilized woman had a 36-lb uterus enlarged by multiple leiomyomas that developed in spite of a chronically high androgen environment secondary to adrenogenital syndrome. The unusual features of this case suggest that the etiology of myomas may be linked with androgen stimulation alone as well as with that of estrogen.
