Adolescent offenders continue to focus the attention of legislators, policy makers and the public.Refinement of classifications, the role of developmental psychopathology conduct disorder, sex offenders, physical treatments, and role of cognitive functioning and psychological factors are reviewed. Need and demand surveys emphasise the importance of clinicians contributing their knowledge to a strategic development of services for adolescent offenders.
