摘要:

Because esophageal and paraesophageal injuries can be life-threatening conditions, early diagnosis and aggressive management are required to improve patient survival. An overview is provided and the pathophysiology, mechanisms of injury, and therapeutic interventions as they relate to these specific injuries are discussed.
