摘要:

Trifluoroisopropyl-α-cyanoacrylate (MBR 4197), a new tissue adhesive, was studied in kidney pole amputations on rabbits and dogs. The amputation was performed with a cryo scalpel, and the opened calyces were sealed by a running suture. Then the wound surface was covered with the tissue adhesive and lyophilized amniotic tissue. A complete hemostasis was achieved in all experiments. The adhesive power of the acrylate was excellent. The isotope renogram revealed no disturbance of renal function. There was only a slight inflammatory reaction around the acrylate adhesive. The brittle adhesive film disintegrated into pieces after the 5th postoperative day. Although the final healing was satisfactory, a still more flexible and more rapidly resorbed adhesive is desirable
