This article discusses Latin American practices regarding water rates; rate structures; metering practices; elements of metered rate structures; classification of Latin American rate systems including consumer class rates, property class rates, volume class rates; water rights; uniform or straight‐line rates; reduction of unit charge; and, uniform rate application.
