President Nixon has announced his intention to nominate H. Guyford Stever as the Director of the National Science Foundation. He will succeed William D. McElroy whose resignation was accepted by the President in July of this year to be effective February 1, 1972.Stever is President of Carnegie‐Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
