AbstractWe describe a method for the ultrastructural localization of surface markers on cells in intact tissue sections. Using a primary monoclonal antibody to a surface marker followed by a second stage gold‐labelled antibody, surface antigens can be specifically localized. This enables cellular interactions to be studied in solid tissue
