The theory of rectangular microstrip antennas based on the line resonator model and the cavity model are summarized. The theoretical and experimental values of input impedance and radiation patterns are compared, and the discrepency between these two values are explained. A parallelogram microstrip antenna is constructed, and the input impedances are compared to those of the rectangular microstrip antenna.
