AbstractIn this paper we describe a Generalized Database Management System (GDBMS) called System G, which has been developed and implemented on a VAX at UCLA. System G integrates the informational aspects of traditional relational databases withthe decisions and actions capabilities of a general decision system; it can handle data, actions and operational dynamics, and thus can be used for general system simulation.
