SUMMARYA patient with hyperthyroidism is described who developed grand mal seizures when anti‐thyroid medication was withdrawn. Pyramidal signs were also present. The EEG reverted to normal and the clinical signs and symptoms disappeared when his thyroid status was again controlled.RÉSUMÉOn décrit un patient avec hyperthyroïdisme, qui a présenté des crises grand mal lorsqu'on a supprimé son traitement anti‐thyroïdien. Le sujet présentait aussi des signes pyramidaux. L'EEG est redevenu normal et les symptômes cliniques ont disparu lorsque la fonction thyroïdienne a étéà nouveau contrôlée.RESUMENSe describe un paciente con hipertiroidismo que desarrolló ataques gran mal cuando se interrumpió la medicación antitiroidea. También aparecieron signos piramidales.
