SUMMARY1The findings in a Chinese infant with bilateral renal aplasia are recorded. This is believed to be the first case reported in a person of Chinese race.2The criteria for the diagnosis of renal aplasia are restated.3The association of a typical facies with gross congenital renal abnormalities is discussed.4Brief mention is made of the embryological basis of the defects.
