SummaryThe development of an attitude scale of the Likert type to test the attitudes of nursing personnel toward parent participation in hospital programs is shown. An instrument developed by the investigators was submitted to 231 nursing personnel and non-diagnostic items omitted. The final form of the Parent Participation Attitude Scale consisted of 24 statements of the summated rating type.
