AbstractReactions of ReF7and ReOF5with NOF and NO2F yielded the compounds NO+ReF8−, NO2+ReF8−, NO+ReOF6−and NO2+ReOF6−. Raman spectra of the solids and NMR spectra of solutions in anhydrous HF show that the complexes are ionic and give tentative indications that ReF8−has D4dsymmetry and ReOF6−has
