Veno-occlusive insufficiency is a frequent cause of erectile dysfunction whose diagnosis is established by pharmacocavernometry-cavernography. This vascular complaint seems to result in alteration of the intracavernous structures. Selected patients may be treated by resection of the venous network. Further studies on the causes of this dysfunction are necessary to improve the knowledge and treatment of venogenic impotence.
