摘要:

The alarmingly high turnover rate of administrators and the need to manage resources more effectively has prompted some university presidents to implement system-wide academic leadership programs. The purpose of such programs is to provide both cognitive and affective experiences for administrators to improve their overall efficiency. The present paper reviews many of the current problems associated with leadership and discusses some options for developing leadership within departments.
