Australian normative data for the General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB) were collected by testing a sample of National Servicemen (N = 1355) and a Schools sample (N = 1562). Results were compared with those obtained on some other tests and with those for GATB obtained by apparently similar US samples. High correlations were found between scores on GATB and Australian measures of cognitive ability and clerical perception and, except for dexterity measures, there was close correspondence between GATB results for samples from the two countries.
