摘要:

Some 10 years ago closed all-carbon molecules (fullerenes) were observed for the first time experimentally. a discovery awarded the Nobel prize for chemistry in 1996. A few years after the first identification of isolated fullerenes. a production process was discovered yielding macroscopic quantities of C60and C70, the two most stable members of the family. This opened the door for the investigation of the solid state properties [1] in which both elastic and inelastic neutron scattering (INS) have played a vital role right from the start.
