SUMMARYA simple hypothermic immersion storage technique is described by which pig livers were successfully stored for up to 8 hr, as tested by orthotopic allotransplantation. This simple technique should be applicable to human liver transplantation and is recommended as more suitable for short-term storage than are currently used complex perfusion techniques.
